Re: Graphoon

Holy shit, it's beautiful!

Was it as painful to create as painful I think it was?

Re: Thunderrealm - game prototype (build 5 - FIRST MAJOR ALPHA!)

Okay, so, Build 5 is added with a major overhaul! I implemented a main game mechanic which is explained in the first post. I couldn't post a video this time, but a very early demo map, a simple win-lose scenario, and a bunch of other things are added.

I hope it's at last something you can evaluate.

Update!

Build 4 is here with plenty of stuff: maps are also read from PNG files now, ability blocking towers added (with fancy flashing effects!), and some kind of GUI for navigation. Zoom is a bit buggy though - any ideas? Manual, download link and screenshot are updated as usual. And now, a video showcase...

Prototype for a puzzle game; not much yet but the basic mechanics are already visible. Project link.

Update!

Build 3 added! It has some additional stuff, including basic collision, and block for the replacement ability. Moreover, you can understand a bit more, what's going on.

Manual updated, screenshot added!

Re: Just a very early game prototype I'm working on (build 2

You have a very nice idea here. I like it so far, although you really need to add the attacks. Thanks, will do! It feels strange that you have to use the mouse to select and use abilities IMO. I'd like to see them mapped to the keyboard instead. Is it normal that the yellow tiles stay on screen aft...

Update!

Okay, well, I'm still interested in the opinions, but now I have some more to provide! Functionality is improved and extended; and from now, I'm gonna provide a "manual" of some kind too!

I know you'd prefer screenshots or a video, but neither can show much, I'm sorry. :/

Thunderrealm - game prototype (build 5 - FIRST MAJOR ALPHA!)

After a very long (1.5 year of) pause, I returned to LÖVE. Being inspired by stuff I've read and watched about making an actually good game, I created a very early prototype for a very loose idea I have. I have a plan of making a logic game with puzzles and a small amount of action based on "abiliti...

Yeah, most likely it needs to be made more efficient. As I said, it was mostly an experiment.

Re: "Cybercraft": a 2D RPG engine [temporarily final release

Might just be my old machine but I'm getting less than 1 frame per second =/ Might be the reason of the size of the map. Have no better idea. Also no offense but your engine's code seems a bit over kill, might want to shorten it up a bit. My main principle was to make the code readable and clear, s...
