Re: Free starting guide Lua

English is indeed NOT my first language, and this is only the first concept of a guide on which I was working in a rather short time. It did stood its first test as a scratch user did successfully get over onto Lua thanks to this guide. Spelling and grammar were in this first concept not my first co...

Re: Free starting guide Lua

Sorry about that.... I just wanted a "nerdy" icon for the more "nerdy" passages, and this was the only one I could quickly find in the public domain (as I shall be fair on it that I didn't draw him myself. I did the guide, and I did the code it contains) ;)

Re: Sixty-Three Fires of Lung

Giant update First of all, sorry for my absence in this thread for such a long time. If you think this project is dead because I was silent so long, then you are wrong. I was just dealing with a very long internet issue keeping me off the internet for over a month due to an ISP who failed in its ow...

Free starting guide Lua

Click here for the Lua Starting Guide The link above leads to a starting guide to the Lua programming language that I recently wrote. It's not yet fully "complete", and I deem it always open for improvement. Therefore I did even set up a GitHub repository , so you can notify me easily abo...

Re: Sixty-Three Fires of Lung

It has been quiet here for over a month, I know... This project ain't dead though, but as this is a hobby project after all, I do often have to put my attention to other things as well... And well, some other things came my way requiring my attention. I have resumed this project today, though, and I...

Re: Pixel-Me, the pixelart character generator

Now THAT looks pretty interesting. As a matter of fact, I've a few concepts lying in which I can use such a tool. Now € 14.99 is pricy, but this tool could be worth its money. A few questions though. Do you have any documentation about the kind of license the portraits have? Like having to link to P...

Re: Sixty-Three Fires of Lung

Update: It's been awhile, the most important reason for this is because I've a lot on my plate now, plus the heath of summer is getting onto me. Hot summers are due to high moisture rates pretty horrible in the Netherlands when you are oversensitive to that, so it's puts a damper on all my activitie...

Re: Love on Mac w/o OpenGL

Better than OpenGL or not, OpenGL is supported by most platforms and Metal only on Mac and other Apple OSes. I believe Microsoft also tried to set up an anti-OpenGL attitude as they had DirectX. It's a bit the disease of computers than OS developers try to reject any form of standardisation and want...

Let's update, shall we?

I've been busy the last month, trust me. https://i.gjcdn.net/data/games/4/171/306671/screenshots/upgrade%20equipment-63pxnvep.png First of all, I've now scripted out the upgrade system. Well to make a bad site developer's joke, I guess Ryanna's HP could not be found :P The upgrade system allows you ...

Re: a working setColor compatibilty multiplier

For me the change from 255 to 1 didn't make sense anyway. Yeah 255 is indeed the max color value due to 255 being the decimal equivalent to binary 1111111 For me it works very very confusing since all graphic manipulation programs I have (as well as other programming tools I use) use a 0-255 scale,...
