Re: Love cutting rectangle

If you are having trouble sharing your code, making a .love file is very easy! You just need to zip up all of your games files (with the main.lua being the root of the zip), and then change the extension from .zip to .love! Then, if you upload it here, we can actually see your game and have a very g...

Re: bug - program SOMETIMES skips score display screen

If I understood your problem correctly, in your placar.lua file, in the restartJogo function, just add this "estadoPlacar.restart = false" restartJogo = function(dt) if estadoPlacar.restart == true then resetOuQuit.resetOuQuit = "reset" estadoPlacar.restart = false resetOuQuit.resetJogo(dt) end end,

Re: Jagged filled shapes

If Zorg's suggestion doesn't work, would you be so kind as to share the code you've written that makes use of the setmode/msaa function. I tested it out myself, and it had a large impact on reducing the jaggedness of the shape for me.

Re: about run love by nopad

What have you done to try to run your love game? Did you just double click the love.exe? Have you tried dragging the folder containing your main.lua file onto the love.exe?

Re: Jagged filled shapes

Ah, have you tried https://love2d.org/wiki/love.window.setMode ? You could do something like love.window.setMode(800, 600, {msaa = 16}) where the 800 and 600 are whatever width and height dimensions you want for your window, and the msaa = 16 is the level of anti aliasing (smooths out jagged edges)

Re: Jagged filled shapes

From https://love2d.org/wiki/love.graphics.rectangle

Code: Select all

love.graphics.rectangle( mode, x, y, width, height, rx, ry, segments )
Increase the number of segments to decrease the jagged look.

Re: Mother 3's Rolling Meters.

If you still need help, can you ask another question? I looked at grump's code and it seems to be what you wanted (a way to simulate the rolling numbers from the game you mentioned) Have you tried to implement the code that was given to you? Was it not what you were asking for in the first place? Wh...

Re: Mother 3's Rolling Meters.

@grump, your code has an error in it. You want to use love.graphics.getFont() instead of love.graphics.font

Re: How to set your enemy pcs to random.

Well, I have to say, I am unsure how your game's code works, so telling you how to make it work in a specific way isn't really going to be possible unless you want to share some code and or be more specific about what you need. However, here is an example solution of a way to generate random enemies...

Re: get the key of the smallest value in a table ?

One reason it may not work for him is because it breaks if one of the values in the table is not a number. Like with this table: local table = { 1, 2, 3, "elephant" } Try this instead: local function get_smallest_number(table) local smallest_number for k, v in pairs(table) do if type(v) == "number" ...
