if anyone else have the same problem, workaround is to set fullscreen mode
love.setFullscreen(true)
and then grab your width and height from love.resize(w,h) callback

BM Font on Windows -- can't seem to get it to save color/alpha information properly. Font renders as white blur over black background with no compositing. replace your "distanceBetween" function with this
