I just played it - the music really adds to the atmosphere. I really appreciate the way you "feel" gravity, in how the bird accelerates as you drop, and the energy carries forward as you climb.The wind trail is a really nice touch. Using a blooming flower as a save point was a great flouri...

Yes, start by limiting the number of globals - you can check for this using the strict.lua library. In terms of the overall structure, I think you could design your objects based on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model%E2%80%93view%E2%80%93controller Thanks a bunch! That gives me plenty to work on!
