Re: Spellrazor (Free strategy-sh'mup-hacking) 0.9.5 (+Trailer)

Hello Dene,
Hmm, the file that I'm able to download from MediaFire link in the first post shows an upload date of 12/14/15 so I think it's v0.9.2. I'm getting quite a few errors running it under 0.1.0 ... I've checked a few of them and they appear to be depreciated functions from 0.9+

Cheers

Re: Can somebody test this bash script for me?

BTW, if you install this: https://www.cygwin.com/ it creates an environment with a bash interpreter in it. Simple download and install, won't litter your hard drive with junk. You just open a terminal window and there ya go ... :)

Re: IM NEW

I'd prefer to use the original physics since I don't like libraries.
You would probably want to look at Fizz then ... it's written in lua and doesn't use libraries ...

Other than that, you'll have to deal with libs sometime as there's only so much one can do in native lua ...

Cheers.

Re: Making LÖVE together!

Yes. But let's assume, that if in 1997 Black Isle made it in Fallout, we will be able to implement it now somehow :) there is lots of talented people browsing this forum, we will see soon how it will come out.
Oh, I have no doubts on on that... :)

Re: Making LÖVE together!

Interesting project! From what I've read, it sounds like you've gotten a good start on the storyline and basic goals... One thing: somewhere in this thread I believe you decided to use "trimetric" projection? Is that correct? I just wanted to point out, there is really one singular problem...

Re: My Zelda style adventure engine (DEMO NOW AVAILABLE)

The reason why MIDI is so small, is that it is left to your devices to make the music, which IIRC usually means inferior quality. Not necessarily. As Robin points out midi uses hardware to produce sound. But unlike the old SID chip in the C64 which totally synthesized sounds, now most midi applicat...

Re: [help re:] Tutorial:Isometric_Graphics?

Hmm, it appears to be broken under 0.6.2, at least on Ubuntu 9.10... Just getting a black screen...

Looks like an opportunity to do some debugging....

Cheers.
