Re: Invasion Containment

It seems to be very solid, I could not get it to crash or malfunction, but it feels very basic to me. I suppose that's to be expected from a first game but I would like to see more depth past sitting at the top of the screen spamming the adw keys. I think you should add more features, perhaps power...

The idea is that you are an invincible pigman that has to stop the aliens from invading. once the number of enemies on the screen reaches a certain number, you lose. You can read more about it by...

No, I'm using 0.7.2, I was going to update when I finished my game, in fear that my code would break or something.

Re: .exe does not work in windows xp

BIG UPDATE AGAIN:
I tried creating a small image and running it, that was only about 30 pixels, and it still wouldn't show up. I also went to another xp computer, and it had the same issue. I have no idea what is going on.

Qcode wrote:Your images are normal sizes, right? Not huge like above 1000 pixels?
I don't think so, they worked fine on my windows 7 computer. Why would that be an issue?

Re: .exe does not work in windows xp

BIG UPDATE: I imported in some simpler games to my xp machine, and discovered that the machine can not link the images for some reason. All the regular graphics will load in, but the images that are attached to them are not loaded in. The reason why no graphics loaded in for my first game is because...

compiling issues

So I have been having issues when I run the exe of my game on a windows xp machine. I figured it's because the xp is 32bit, and my main computer is 64bit. So I tried installing love and lua on the xp machine, but my version of love2d is 1.7.2, and the only version I can find for download right now i...

Re: Questions before trying Love

If you work hard enough, you can create pretty complex games with love2d. Here are some examples: http://stabyourself.net/mari0/ (A recreation of mario but with a portal gun. Also more) http://stabyourself.net/orthorobot/ (cool game similar to FEZ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFiw3Is9xkU (not rel...
