Re: Error Help

You should post code using the "

Code: Select all

" tag, really helps.

Also, .love please. I couldn't understand what line gave the error (Unless it was a typo, as pointed by Vimm)

Re: Very huge delay to load streamed .mp3 files

Load all of your MP3s into a table when the game or level or whatever starts. Then access them from that table when you need them. It'll move all of your load times to the beginning where timing isn't an issue. This is a rather bad idea. Since i'm developing a rhythm game, let's say, for an example...

Very huge delay to load streamed .mp3 files

So, here goes nothing. So far, everything works in my current project. But there is something annoying me quite. Whenever i load a new .mp3 file, the entire game freezes for almost 1.5 seconds whilst the file loads. I know all love systems run on the main thread, so is there any way to speed up this...

Re: Tiled Map Editor compression help please

Well, after a quick look i think you'll have to parse the XML file yourself i'm afraid, based on this: http://doc.mapeditor.org/reference/tmx-map-format/

Re: LoveDebug - A whole new way of debugging your game

So, i tried to use this nice script in my game. However... For some odd reason, luafft now returns me an error, bragging about some debugging function not existing, when in fact it does. With that error, the game splashcreen just stalls. I can hover at the button, but clicking it does nothing. Actua...

Re: I don't understand classes

So, i took a look at your project, and i noticed right off the bat you're trying to call Asteroid.new(). Unfortunately, Lua in itself is not object oriented (correct me if i'm wrong) but that can be implemented. So, do you want to do object orienting yourself (code the constructors and stuff) or jus...

Re: SUIT not working

I had something similar with Shine before.. I assume you have to put the "suit" folder in the root of the game folder, along with the "main.lua". This is because when you use " suit = require 'suit' " it will actually look for the "init.lua" inside the suit folder and then load it. I could be wrong,...
