Re: Breaking Fast has been greenlit! :)

Good to see you've got recognition, the game seems to have an unique personality to it.

Of course, more Love2D games on Steam and award ceremonies also help legitimize Löve itself as a serious game framework. When one of us wins, everyone in the community wins in a way.

Re: ADEPT - playtest build available!

Wow, that is some thoughtful feedback. I'm feeling inspired to write about the design anyway, so I'll be giving some wordy answers. - I like the font on the help screen, except for 1 or 2 things. I keep reading the "g" as a "9" because what should be the descender sits on the baseline. I think an up...

Recorded a gameplay video! It's basically me messing with the editor and playing the demo level. Featuring hand-picked Adlib tunes that wouldn't be out of place in the actual game.

Re: Distributing your games (making a .love file)

What are the benefits of renaming the source .zip as .love? Is that a legacy thing, or does it affect something that I haven't encountered? My packaged executables seem to work the same regardless of the file extension.

Re: ADEPT - playtest build available!

Oh wow. I had no idea that could cause problems.

Well, the shader's not actually used in this build yet, so might as well remove it altogether. Reuploaded, thanks.

Re: ADEPT

So, here it is: a build that contains a functional live editor with a subset of the upcoming tileset. Downloads Windows 64-bit Source Known bugs : - you can sometimes avoid being crushed by a downwards moving platform by jumping at the right time, "snapping" you to the side - horizontal springs are ...

Re: ADEPT

Today I crossed off the difficult parts from my todo list for the public build. Only got three more known quirks to fix. #gethype I also made a demo level to test and showcase some (intended) curiosities. Might as well package this with the game for you to play around with. http://i.imgur.com/N9clhC...

Re: ADEPT

I just encountered the most genius bug: a falling block collided with the editor cursor , and both died in the collision. I'm kind of proud that my component system is generic enough for this to happen without fatal errors or anything. But after I stopped laughing, I faced the fact that these are th...

Re: ADEPT

I know, it's kind of overkill. Not even the colors as such, but the stripes being so narrow is what makes it look like eye razors. Especially when there's a moving object in front that your eyes are focusing on. The other backgrounds are more low-contrast, but then there's some readability issues wi...

Re: ADEPT

http://i.imgur.com/G9RyPD8.png Today I implemented saving/loading(!), multi-directional tiles, a cool LED table for announcements that would otherwise be printed into console, usability stuff, dealt with fonts, whipped up new background graphics, plus a whole bunch of lesser additions and fixes. Si...
