Re: Platformer game engine (a proper one, really!)

I've been tinkering this, and I'm struggling to work out how one would add friction into the engine.
Obviously, it would have to be framerate-independent, and so far, I can't seem to get a reliable consistent speed.

Anyone more math-oriented than me want to help?

Re: Class Commons?

I feel so incredibly stupid right now.
I thought that maybe after 4+ years of doing this shizzle that I wouldn't make mistakes like this anymore.

Thanks.

Class Commons?

As much as the idea of Class Commons is fantastic, I cannot for the life of me work out what exactly needs to be set up to get it working. I'm attempting to use LUBE with HUMP's Class library. I get an error asking for a Class Commons implementation from LUBE. I've looked over the Class Commons read...

Re: Restitution 0 still bounces

I assume you're using 0.7.1, in 0.8.0 restitution and friction seem to behave much more naturally. I don't think negative values will work. 0.8.0 is still a bit buggy but it might be worth upgrading or waiting if it's a key part of your game. One kind of sloppy solution in the mean time would be to...

Re: One Way To Go

Please tell me that you have used the good ol '*dt' in there. It goes way too fast even on easy.

Re: 32 lines of goodness, yet another OO lib

I can assure you that I prefer the way that you've set up in these 32 lines :)

It's perfect for what I need, thank you.

Re: 32 lines of goodness, yet another OO lib

I know this post is old, and I know there are better libraries out there, but I like the looks of this one, as it looks really close to what I'm looking for.

Does this fix work as advertised?

Re: 0.8 physics derp

Might I add, that is a genius way to check what exactly is going on.
