Re: Cowboy 'game'

Haha have you noticed that, if you aim your cursor near the cowboy's shoulders, you can get the arms to do some very funky things? :P

okay. It's just that drawing the whole grid only at the start means that you get lines being erased when you erase notes, unless that's a bug.

Site bug (?) [viewing members link]

Found a small bug on the site (unless its a intended restriction): I can click the "members" link to see a list of members, and I can view through all the pages of members, but if I try to find a member alphabetically, I get a plain html "Access denied." Yes, I am logged in. If t...

What kind of things are we looking at making here? Tech-demos? Minigames? Beginnings of big games? Anything?

Re: Compose (Yet another LÖVE project...Will I ever finish o

Would people please stop moaning about canvases? They are extremely useful and easy to use, and although sometimes games/programs can be made with a version that doesn't need them, if that can't be done then don't demand for them to be removed. Great program, but for some reason it takes a buttload...

Re: Astoroid - Space Shooter [WIP]

Oh darn, I was mentally developing this exact same idea for a while now, but now I've seen this I guess there's no need - what you've got here is great! A few things though: - Are you going to limit the speed at which you can rotate around the planet? - Would you consider a more structured wave styl...

Re: Rotating a polygon

Oh dang, I forgot about love's transformation functions. I guess that's the simple way of doing it.
Question though: is it faster to use built-in transformation functions than the pure maths for such things?

Re: Rotating a polygon

As you said, you can draw the polygon to a canvas and draw that canvas rotated by a certain angle. This is a simple way, but probably not too fast. A better way would be to do some rotation maths on every point - the relevant equations under the heading "Matrix Algebra" should work, but th...
