Re: Zelda with random dungeons!

I see no reason you couldn't make a long room with doorways on the sides, for those chains of rooms.

This stuff gives me so many ideas. :L

Re: Making a Sci-Fi Space MMO

Heh, alright, well I've seen crazy newbies come online wanting to make an MMO as their first game so I wanted to be sure you're on the right track. What exactly do you want to see in this game??

Re: Let's show the noobs.

undef makes a good point, aspire to make a game you want to see made. But also understand that games are complicated programs and it takes time to get there! Sadly the first games I ever made are long gone, but they were basically graphical choose-your-own-adventures made in the card-based "Mac...

Re: Making a Sci-Fi Space MMO

Have you made games professionally before? Do you know anything about programming a server/client or any networking at all? If not, you're asking the wrong questions here. Recruiting randoms from a forum is not the way to get a game made (no offense to the forum people). I'm talking from experience ...

Re: Zelda with random dungeons!

Impressive what you've been up to since I saw this thread before! I want to play the game now. :P

So how do you plan to make money of a game made from Zelda sprites? heheh

Re: Zelda with random dungeons!

Welp I'm impressed, I'm always fascinated by random generation. I'll have to review your method for generating levels, it looks very cool but also not needlessly complex. EDIT: Oh! Oh! Question: Will you be procedurally altering the contents of any room? I imagine you could add some variety by marki...

Re: Loophole - 2D Puzzle Platformer

While I'm thinking about it, I feel like if this game were a typical puzzle platformerer the obvious thing to expect next would be • A pressure plate that opens a door • A level with 3 characters to switch • Something that uses the cool gravity flipping (You could probably still use that switching c...

Re: Rigid Boy 2

You know we talked about this earlier, and I still think that changing the controls at this point would change the existing levels. In fact, I was working on a level where you have to bounce off walls on purpose. XD

Re: Loophole - 2D Puzzle Platformer

Wow, you don't have to change everything from the feedback of one person, but I'm glad I could help. xD But I will say this: The new version is waaaaay easier. I didn't find myself missing jumps all the time when trying to land one character on the other, but the solution to the puzzles also stays t...

Re: Loophole - 2D Puzzle Platformer

EDIT: I have proofread and changed this after posting. Again. Sorry for any inconvenience. The good: As much as I'm complaining about this game it's not a bad proof of concept. Switching between players has been done in other games but Loophole puts a new spin on it, since players freeze mid-air. Yo...
