Hi,

By no means an expert but I think you could...

a) Test in love.update() using love.keyboard.isDown("key").

b) Activate a flag in love.keypressed(key) and deactivated it in love.keyreleased(key).

Well done, it's lots of fun! I liked the game mechanics - especially the way the owl swooped and the rats ran away. The chosen music gives it quite a sombre feel? I guess it is a night-time game with life and death at stake though! I would have liked some sort of progress bar and perhaps for the win...

Very relaxing! Well thought out too. I liked the game mechanic in that there wasn't really a 'loss' scenario, just takes a bit of time to reach the win conditions. The music is great too -- especially liked how it changed for above/below ground. Kudos!

Thanks for taking a look. I didn't know about the function... print(garbagecollect("count")) ...before trying to solve this one so that was a good learning curve. That showed up a sharp increase in work for the GC over time and I think it was mostly down to the function drawbuttontext beca...

The download said it was damaged (mac) when I first tried it, but the .love file inside the app worked just fine.
