Re: Do you have canvas support?
A few months ago I tested 2 of my old laptops, one was an old 2002 HP running XP SP3, the other a 2005 Sony Vaio VGN running Vista. Both of them supported Canvases, NPO2, Multi-Canvases and Mipmapping. I didn't test the other possible supported parameters, but it gives you an idea that a 13-year old...

Re: Writing into TXT
Are you sure the variable seed is set? Have you set your projects save-directory using love.filesystem.setIdentity or by setting t.identity = XXX inside your conf.lua? Your code works fine for me in an example project such as this; function love.load() local seed = 718273 love.filesystem.write("...

Re: Director of Football
Interesting. Do you want to use real team and player data? I have no plans to. Maintaining real player data for even just 1 league would be very time consuming, let alone supporting potentially many more than that. The game currently has 14 leagues to choose from, and more will be added from differ...

Re: Director of Football
I would be interested how do you simulate the matches? What approach to you choose to simulate this complicated game. thx. Right now, each team has 3 stats: defence rating, midfield rating, and attack rating. I then get the difference between the home teams attack rating and the away teams defence,...

Re: Director of Football
Looking good! As the others said amazing GUI! It is really shaping out into something very neat. :awesome: Thanks! I'm enjoying working on the game during my free time, and have filled a 30-page notebook of ideas and gameplay mechanics which I plan on adding. Unfortunately, as I cross 1 new feature...

Re: Director of Football
Lots of new things added over the past 10 days! Actual win/lose/fun gameplay is slowly creeping in, although there is still nothing "interactive" where your actions affect the simulation right now. I am taking it slow, ensuring nothing is causing any issues, and fixing little bugs that hav...

Re: Director of Football
Not bad. I used to play the Football Manager series so I get the motivation behind these sorts of games. Good job, I see that you put in a lot of effort. :) For me, a game of this genre has to deliver in either the UI department or the simulation (preferably in the latter). And it's very difficult ...

Director of Football
https://love2d.org/imgmirrur/mTpV7Uv.png Director of Football (somewhat of a 'working title') started life as a small idea I had many years ago, and has constantly evolved and changed as I thought of new mechanics and ways of implementing features. The ultimate premise goes something like this; You...
