Re: [Poll] Should we change projection?

Some people seem to be confused with the different types of axonometric projection (isometric, dimetric, trimetric) there is a wikipedia article on the subject which includes a handy graphic for distinguishing them (I attached a smaller version). Well, this is exactly what I attached and said when ...

Re: [Poll] Should we change projection?

I would prefer if the poll not only asked for dimetric or trimetric but also if the voter is contributing to the project or just giving their input. Then you get a better picture of what the people involved want, and those just giving their opinion want. but we want opinion! :) As it's described in...

Re: Official "A Whiff of Steam", the LövelyRPG project topic

Not sure if this is the best place to enquire, but how does one go about becoming a contributor to this game? I've been browsing the git repo and I'd love to get involved. Great to hear that. It's actually quite easy, just make something that is accepted. Prefered way for new contributions is troug...

Re: [Poll] Should we change projection?

Other examples of non-trimetric games Final Fantasy Tactics: ... Queens Crown: ... I thought it best to show some "non-3d" shots, since that's the direction AWoS is headed. actually FFT is 3D - though it's close. Probably tactic ogre would be better example. And QC isn't dimetric nor trim...

Welcome to our new and shiny subforum :D

A Whiff of Steam got it's own subforum, yay! Say loudly no more to crowding in cramped monster threads, 20 pages long! We can now open separate threads for separate issues, and it will be easy to find older topics too!

yes, because of technical reasons. It was never an option, even in previous poll.

Re: [Poll] Whiff of Steam: should we change projection?

I voted for trimetric, because it works already and worked well in other games, including commercial games. Also, in dimetric the symmetric buildings corners gives me strange feeling which I personally don't like. That's my vote, lets see what others think about it.

Re: Official "A Whiff of Steam", the LövelyRPG project topic

Guys, we took a vote as to which projection we should use. We've made two tiny prototypes so far; that's hardly enough to make an informed decision about switching projection. And no one has even tried making assets in the current projection yet (except me, who made the block art used in the curren...
