Here's a quick question for you guys, how would you go about reading maps from tile map editors like mappy or tiled map editor? I just find it harder creating maps as an array when you're creating very very detailed maps where mountains are involved and there's 30+ tiles for a mountain which can get...

I thought you could actually do a lot with Game Maker's particles but the API sucked. Do you have a specific example of what couldn't be done in Game Maker? It's hard to determine what you mean by "good". In my experience LOVE is better than Game Maker in almost every aspect besides the c...

I'm currently looking to move from game maker to something else, I tried torque 2d but it seems you have to do more work than just with C++ and sdl/opengl/direct x etc.. So I found LOVE, and it feels a LOT like game maker at least with similar functions.. So that brings me to my question, how powerf...
