Re: Canvas problem; canvas not right size? Gamera?

That did it, after I moved the draw call out of the camera draw everything worked perfectly. I'll keep that in mind for later.

Re: Canvas problem; canvas not right size? Gamera?

Hi, your right the clipping of the canvas comes from gamera when gamera draw it uses love.graphics.setScissor to limit the drawing area (I never heard about this function before but I'm happy to discover it :awesome: ) So when you draw your canvas, the draw doesn't go beyond 1280 in width due to yo...

Canvas problem; canvas not right size? Gamera?

I wish I could explain this better, but I'll try. Right now I have a graphic effect that requires the use of a lot of small graphic calls. I figured I would draw this effect to a canvas, and then just draw that canvas to increase performance. Long story short, it didn't work. For some reason the can...

Re: Can I work with databases?

I think you would have to use a lua library to get that functionality. Here's one I found.

Re: Super Particle Editting and Rendering Machine

Hey, I was really interested in using this. Does anyone know how to get it working with the current version of Love? I figured I would ask before I tinker too much.

Thanks!

Re: Attempt to call field 'player_collide' (a nil value)

Try calling the function using : instead of .

So Enemy:player_collide()

Re: Attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'dt' a nil value

You need to pass dt into the move function.

bullet.move(dt)

Re: Top Down Collision Detection and Reaction

I can't look at your code right now but collision resolution for problems like this isn't that hard. Imagine you have a function that you made, that can detect if a point is colliding with the world. This function will be called colWorld(x,y). I'll be using pseudocode. function colWorld(x,y) if(this...

Re: What's everyone working on? (tigsource inspired)

I made this water surface simulator thingy for my game. It doesn't look very natural at the moment, I'm hoping once I add particles it'll look better. It's pretty simple at the moment, I think I might try to release it as a library later on if I have the time. I'm using assets from some of my older ...

Re: I'm using Tiled and I'm trying to access a table. Help?

I dont actually have a .love file, I am just running some test code out of notepad++ but here is my main, and the two files involved I can change the map01.lua file, I named that table in layers and that worked. But then it doesnt work with STI Making a love file is simple. Just zip everything up a...
