Re: Rambo Cat, a platformer shoot'em up

Really cool game! I think the combat would be more fun if rambo cat faced the direction of the mouse, as opposed to the last direction the player moved rambo cat.

Re: Silver Chess - My first LOVE game!

Lol, you're response has made my day. Honestly, I was having a bit of a rough morning and seeing your comment made me smile and feel a whole lot better, thank you for being so nice and humble. :awesome: Let's say you want to search for a given board position in 100 saved games, you would create 100*...

Re: Silver Chess - My first LOVE game!

Having a different Lua "object" for each piece is just not a good approach, it's possible to make something like that work, but it's going to be a memory hog at best. Can you please go into detail as to why this is a bad idea? I'm not sure what your expertise is, or if you're familiar wit...

Bump-date: --Revising the way some drawing operations are performed so that they are done less stupidly. Re: A question on multiple screens in love 2d

Oh yeah, you can absolutely do what you're talking about with love! Basically, you just have to draw 4 or however many camera perspectives you want at certain positions on the screen. How you do that is up to you, but it's entirely possible.

Re: A question on multiple screens in love 2d

When you say "simulate" multiple screens, do you mean can you draw what you see on one of your monitors in part of the love 2d window?

The question is a bit vague, can you try to do into further detail?

Do you work solo or with a team?

I was curious about those of you who are currently, or have made games using LOVE, what your experience was with working with a group of developers to try to make a game. If you work alone: --Do you work alone because you enjoy having the process of making something from start to finish, or for some...

Re: Trying to understand detouring/hooking.

LÖVE 0.10.1 here as well. Minimizing the window works; changing virtual desktop works; shading the window does not work properly. It says "Window is not visible!" immediately followed by "Window is visible!" when shading, and nothing when un-shading. I'm using WindowMaker if tha...
