Re: Idea: Project Lovechild

Just to clarify, is this a project aimed directly at children, or aimed at children and beginning programmers?

Re: Idea: Project Lovechild

I've got a 17-year-old cousin who wants to program (but, I think he's taking C classes in school, so he may already know too much). Since this is in conjunction with LOVE, I think that all tutorials should ultimately wind up making some kind of "game" (or parts of one). So, the array tutor...

Love games?

This sounds like a wonderful idea, and I'd love to write. Should we pick our own topics, or do you have a list to choose from? I'd hope so, because if I didn't have a focus, I'd probably be writing about how recursive tail calls affect the stack.

Re: hello love: i really don't know who you are [version 1.2]

That's strange. I just tried it on my two computers (Windows 7, Love 0.6.2) and it worked perfectly. Does anyone know why this could happen? I'm using spriteBatches with enough space to store all the content I'm showing and I'm not seeing any problems.

God damn it.

I uploaded the wrong copy. The link should now be fixed. All the problems you had were resolved with the real version 1.2.

Re: hello love: i really don't know who you are [version 1.1]

I've released version 1.2. This uses sprite batches to bring the game up to 60fps in all modes. I've also made all the graphics a power of two. Good stuff. It turns out that I was using Oddball's tiny sprites. There won't ever be "enemies" in the traditional sense, but I've got some ideas ...

Re: Stränge Löve

Haha, the two comments weren't related. Like saying, "This book is bad. It reminds me of Harry Potter." This doesn't imply that Harry Potter is bad. :P

I love Towlrs.
