Re: Fixing An Incorrectly Coded Drawing Function
I don't think you came across TOO harsh, but however harsh it was helped to get your point into my head. I have plenty of example .LOVE files, (actually my desktop is full of them) but I haven't really UNDERSTOOD the code. I have gone through/skimmed it to see how things can be done, but I never wen...

Re: Fixing An Incorrectly Coded Drawing Function
Wow, Bobbias. That is extremely informative, thanks a lot! I probably should have learned more before I pleaded for help, which I see now. I'm sorry for posting a thread asking for help when I could have easily done it myself had I studied and learned more. In the future, I will only make posts aski...

Re: Fixing An Incorrectly Coded Drawing Function
My problem is, I don't see a way to make it so certain things don't draw. Love.draw() draws everything at once, in my mind at least. I am still kinda new :/.

I am driving on a large road trip, so my replies have been scarce... But, I tried using the code Davidobot sent (even though it seems redundant) and it caused no difference whatsoever. I still haven't found the source of the problem still, however.

Re: Fixing An Incorrectly Coded Drawing Function
I couldn't exactly grasp what you were trying to say, but I moved the TITLE.newGame block to below the block that defines it as a variable. I also changed some variables and such, but doing that made it so the song plays, but the background and player character aren't drawn at all. It just stays at ...

Fixing An Incorrectly Coded Drawing Function
This is my first post, sadly it must be one asking for help.... Anyway, my problem is that clicking the "New Game" button on the menu causes a problem with loading the background. I don't see a problem, as I defined the background correctly (background = love.graphics.newImage("<filen...
