Re: Mr. Rescue - Beta, looking for feedback!
Some potential bugs, It doesn't seem possible to move humans up/down ladders. The leap-frog enemy will jump out the window if it's smashed open. Your default player is unable to smash a window open by jumping into it. When trying to shoot water at fires sometimes humans will get in the way. As for g...

Re: Mr. Rescue - Beta, looking for testers!
Just play-tested it. Artwork and music stand apart. Fun, even though I tried it a dozen times and still couldn't beat it!
Oh and no major bugs or flaws that I saw.

The rubber piggies.
Ha. But on a serious note, I choose LOVE because the community was helpful, Lua is a noob friendly language, and LOVE itself has enough tools to do just about everything (besides 3D) without being restricting.

Re: How to stop the spam problem!
I think it would be better to have some sort of Q&A that is specific to LÖVE or Lua, rather than use a plugin (or have a math problem) that can be solved via bot for more than just one specific forum. What about asking some basic questions? What color is snow? (white) What is water made of? (H2...

Re: Textured Polygons for All!
For clarification: by z-axis, do you mean up? It's always made more sense to me that up would be the y-axis. :brows: Yes I do mean up, but I've always thought "up" referenced in 3D as the z-axis was the standard. While waiting for xXxMonkEyMaNxXx to come up with textured triangles ... Ahm...

Re: Big Rogue-like Project
My suggestion - instead of one big RL project, how about one big RL library to make creating one much easier. I recall PM'ing a few other lovers who made RL's about getting a library going so other people can build roguelikes pretty easily. I wouldn't mind contributing, but I don't have enough time ...

Re: Textured Polygons for All!
I've been keeping my eye on this lib for an idea for a 3D game possibly. Something along the lines of a voxel cube based game, minecraft-like, but with a huge twist that I won't disclose just yet. I read somewhere that to transverse the z-axis in lua hampers performance quite a bit, so I had an idea...
