tile collisions

So I'm trying to make a tilebased platformer. And right now I'm trying to get slopes to work correctly, but I was thinking about using lines or boxes and make the player move along that instead of a (collision)tilemap.

Any thoughts?

It's pretty cool, but there's something wrong with the collision. I think when it's checking collision on the own snake it isn't checking for the Y value. :\
