Re: 0.6.0 Update

What can we do to make our 0.5.0 games work also with 0.6.0 withowt rewriting every script? (i know we could make the .exe file with 0.5.0, but then the source will be unreadable)

Re: Pokemon Clone

Thanks! By "clone" i don't mean the same game, but another game with same features ^^ and yes, i think i'll make a smaller region different from the older ones and that i'll add minigames and quests to make the gameplay longer. By the way, the project haven't been left, but i've found a wa...

Re: Contests?

Speaking of a screenshot contest, in my opinion new screenshots on the http://love2d.org/screenshots page would be a good idea. Re: My Zelda style adventure engine progress thread

Uh, with script i mean a set of instruction attached to a map object (npc, chest, door etc...) to be executed in certain conditions (keypress etc...)... It's difficult to find two npc in different maps that say the same thing, so i prefer to keep it in the map file.

Re: My Zelda style adventure engine progress thread

I was using lua too as a scripting system, but i've run into the same problem. I avoided it by leaving lua and using a multidimensional tables-reading algorithm that allows me to include all map data (tiles, npcs and scripts) in a single file with a clean syntax. In this way (simple to implement, bu...

Contests?

I know that this is a quite small community (not as small as italian game-making communities), but it would be cool to make contests (screenshot contest, minigame contest, theme contests etc...). I think this would attract other users, motivate inactive users (if there are any) and create a nice com...
