Zombie Game

Post by ishkabible »

alright i have been working on this for a little while now and i think it's presentable. i still want to add droped items when you kill zombies and another enemy's namely something that fires projectiles. any way here it is.

* WASD to move
* mouse to aim
* left mouse button to shoot

looking for suggestions :)

v 1.04 added health items that zombies drop, adopted muzzle flash and bullet trace given in the thread, made enemy's that shoot fire balls predict where you will be (if you keep moving along the same path) and shoot there instead of shooting directly at you. also i made it much smaller by saving the images diffrently

added new enemy type that shoots fire balls at you. you have time to dodge them. the new enemy type is harder to kill as well

Looks neat, but the zombies are way too fast. I suggest making them really slow (like 20% of the current speed) but adding masses of zombies to the game. The longer the player survives, the more zombies should be on the screen.
Oh, and muzzle flashes or gun traces would make shooting more fun.

It looks pretty good, though I agree, the zombies are too fast, you should slow them down and add more of them at a time. Good work!

i toyed around with the idea of slow vs. fast zombies and find that faster zombies are funner to me. it also allows for fewer zombies to be on the screen at one time witch means i can add more stuff. i had the game at one point where you could kill 1750 zombies in one wave. i made it so that if you moved straight they would catch up to you but if you moved at a diagonal they would fall behind. im deftly am going to add ammo, health and different guns. i may bigger maps and obsticals that both you and zombies have to work you way around.

the music dose sound like something from a crack or key-gen but it's not it came from one of the love demos :)

more zombies killing? is this a pleasure trend? too much "walking dead"? what's the problem with u people? respect Life! erm I mean respect the DEAD ones too... :P

forgetting all that moral dillema, things are nice, put some life power-ups and some extras, wrap up nicely and you have a winner.
