Ah, that stinks. Sorry about that :(

The rewrite of the core I'm doing will probably no longer be using canvases, but we'll see.

you should get a new computer its totally worth it, but i still support the idea of not having canvas as the main drawing thing in löve games the idea is still good but only as an optional option.

Well, I came to Love from programming with Allegro in C++, and in that using an offscreen rendering thing (canvases, etc) was no big thing. And it gave me a lot of awesome flexibility. I do kinda miss it.

I agree. But I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just saying you should at least consider it. You could build yourself one for about £400 or so. Maybe even £250 and put Linux on it. I'd say you'd benefit from it :D But up to you :)

wait, wait wait, do you support linux now?

i like linux myself (its not my main OS although its better than windows in performance)

Not everyone has that money to throw around...

I'm probably going to cut out canvases. When someone said old computers couldn't do it, I was picturing OLD computers. Like Pentuim 1's that were running a slim version of Linux or something.
