Rocketry

Post by Astro »

Hello. The past few months, my friends and I - Nemesis Games, have been working pretty hard on this rocket game. You start out with The Dreamer, a small and non-fuel efficient rocket. As you get farther and farther away from Earth, into unexplored space, you will earn more science. With this, you will be able to unlock new rockets to go even farther away.

Controls:
SPACE - (hold) use engine(s)
A - translate left
D - translate right

(ksp 2D?!)

onto actual feedback

Ive noticed a bug where flying upwards any amount and then falling down would cause you to fall lower than the ground(green space?) then later glitching you onto the platform(grey space?), also it seems to delay glitching you back whith the delay being often longer the higher you flew before falling.

Otherwise besides a wish to see that lil flame dance abit(make it twitch, or glow brighter and dimmer?) there is not much else to comment on... Looking forward to what else comes of this>>

Honestly, yes, the idea for the game did originate from KSP.

The bug you described in which you fall under the surface occurs due to using the altitude as a variable for the rocket's...well...altitude. The problem is that when free-falling in the atmosphere, the altitude doesn't decrease as fast as it increased when the rocket was gaining altitude. This would also solve your second bug report, as well.

Yes, eventually, we were going to animate the engine flames; they weren't the first of our concerns, that would be fixing these bugs. Thank you for your concerns regarding Rocketry and your bug reports and ideas! They will be used in the future to improve the game.
