MiniM - My first Löve2D project

Post by Ulydev »

Hello everyone,

I just finished MiniM, some kind of small endless runner where you don't control the player directly, but its velocity instead. There's only one obstacle, which is very disturbing. A game with lots of obstacles isn't necessarily hard, and this totally proves it.
I just don't know how to clearly explain the concept, and prefer to let you try it directly.

This is actually my first little Löve2D project. It's awesome how easy it is to create effects with Löve2D !

Simple and fun the only thing I would say is add in a display of the highest score, you have a last score at the top right but no highscore. How can I tell people how good I am without a highscore?!?!

It took me quite a while to figure out what I was actually doing, but once I got that it was fun. I'm not good at this though... :nyu:
It really looks great too!

Great game idea and very polished - well done!

It's quite hard, too... :)

Took me a little while to figure out that there are arrows to indicate the direction of the treadmill (or which way the box is walking, idk). Really fun, though!

Thank you guys !
I've been thinking of creating a full game out of this idea, with power-ups, more enemies... But it would ruin the minimalist spirit.

Also, high scores have been added ! :awesome:

May be asking too much but can you make an android version. But in the .love format instead of apk? I would assume all is needed is on screen controls

Hm, I don't think this works like it should for me. Once I start going in a direction the belt is insanely fast, uncontrollable and won't stop so I either hit the tree or fly off the band with the second jump.
Very good-looking though ;)
