Last month I ran a poll from this forum and on another I go to get feedback on if I should remake my old game, "Turtle: Puzzles". The results showed really wanted to have it remade and turned into something new. Now, I have decided to make a thread here dedicated to any interesting updates I made rather than post in the General "what are you working on" thread.
The aim of this game is to have gameplay that is more engaging and fun than Turtle: Puzzles was heading for. My goals are:
- Better physics
- (maybe) use of shaders, definitely particle systems to make things fancier
- Better graphics overall
- New soundtracks
- Enhanced plot
The current plot (so far) is as follows:

//SCENE 1: OPEN TRANSITION TO A NEST, HIGH IN THE SKY PHOENIX: *sniff* *sniff* I need something to eat.. urg.. //PHOENIX looks down and stomach rumbles PHOENIX: I can't stand not eating. There's been terrible food as of late! //BABY TURTLES can be hear in the distance PHOENIX: Oh ho ho! Sounds like it's my lucky break. Off I go! //PHOENIX flaps wings up into the air, feathers trailing behind. TRANSITION CLOSE //SCENE 2: OPEN TRANSITION, BABY TURTLE 1 and BABY TURTLE 2 play outside in front of the house, jumping about BABY TURTLE 1: Haha! *giggle* This is so much fun! You're the best sibling ever! BABY TURTLE 2: Thanks, little bro. That means alot to me! //THERE IS A MOMENT OF PAUSE, BABY TURTLE 1 stops moving and looks up at the sky BABY TURTLE 1: Oh no! Sis! There's a monster coming after us! BABY TURTLE 2: Bro, you know that joke never works on.. //BABY TURTLE 2 is caught by the talons of the phoenix and moments later, so is BABY TURTLE 1 BABY TURTLE 1 AND 2: DAAAAAAAAAADDDY!! PHOENIX: Quiet you twerps, you'll be my meal soon enough! //CLOSE TRANSITION
