TRÖN - test

Post by steVeRoll »

Hello people! This is my version of the famous arcade game TRON for Love2d. I know it's not made in the most efficient way and I should have used modules and all that, but it's still something!
Let me know what you think!

Red cycle/snake/whatever is controlled with WASD.
Green cycle/snake/whatever is controlled with arrow keys.

It's not a bot - It's supposed to be a second player. I wrote it's controls too

neat! A simple improvement would be to also display some instructions when you display "press Enter" or whatever. i.e.

Controls (in white. Maybe with a line drawn underneath)
Red: WASD (in red)
Green: arrow keys (in green)

oooh!
You could fix the starting countdown text blurriness by making a larger font.

From graphics.newFont on the wiki:
font = love.graphics.newFont( filename, size )
Learning to Löve.

I ran this and it was working fine until the countdown ended.
That's when my computer blue screened.

Yes, that did happen, though at the moment I'm unsure whether it was the game or my machine since Windows Explorer just crashed about 2 hours ago - I'm not trying to blame it on anyone, I'll try and see if I can replicate it when I have time. Thanks, you too! :)

Edit: Just tried it now, it worked - sorry!
