No, there's not. The latest post is about the changes for the registration (31 october), it doesn't mention anything about when you'll be able to play.

The last post about the event says:

EDIT: Maybe you've enabled caching on your website?

Finally logged in.

Couldn't see my character.
Bumped into invisible stuff all the way.
First item shows Error.
Didn't seem to be able to do anything with the potions.
I guess I got in a fight and that's when the error message came up.

Hey Kayle!
That's because you're using an older client to try and access the newer servers. There's nothing to stop that from happening yet. Before I've just had the port change by 1, which I'll do now to prevent further access. Please download the new client when it is released today.

That's more like it!
Played for like at least 20 minutes. Then we got to a fight, where the boss was bugged (to be fair, everything was). I could see my party's movement but the enemies didn't move and were invulnerable.

A chat would be ideal to have too. I was struggling with a fight and bread and CrimsonSomething came in and helped me, then we roamed the world together. Hahah loved it.

A better shop indication would be better. I didn't know that guy was selling stuff until I ran into him.

Worst thing however is that my character didn't save :/
I exited with alt F4 after the bugged fight and joined, but I started from zero. Shame, would have kept playing.

Also I'm not sure if bugs but some characters just sat there (including a copy of mine at the spawn I think).

I've had that issue playing with a friend and it's something I'm gonna look into and try and fix before the end of the week.

Sounds like you played with someone from my uni course! The full game will have chat, in fact the Christmas Alpha event will have chat also. More on that soon!

Totally agree with this, it's something that'll be more obvious in the next Alpha.

This is a fundamental issue so I'm going to look into it right now.
I can actually see that no-one's character is saving properly, which is an issue for obvious reasons.

Characters don't time out in this version so if someone closes the game their character persists. This'll be fixed for next Alpha!

Also some things you should address:

Game is too hard to start when you're solo in your battles. Mostly because you can only have one potion in battle.
I still can't flee a battle. (Accidentally went to the boss battle, got rekt)
Exiting the game other than alt f4.
Ability to close a window by pressing escape.

Bug Fixes

Fixed spell animations
Made news use a smaller font on the login screen
Fixed a bug where characters who were in a fight when the server closes got deleted
Fixed the tooltip for Phase Shift (erroneously stated that you would take no damage for 5 seconds after using)
Fixed a bug where music wouldn’t play

Spell changes

Buffed Recovery (Now recovers 50% health rather than 20%)
Buffed Slam (Now deals four times as much damage as before)

Content

New early game encounter “Spider Infestation”
New late game encounter “The Skeleton King’s Army”
Has a 25% chance of dropping Skeleton Key, required to enter Realm of the Skeleton King
Dungeon unlocked, “Realm of the Skeleton King”
When within range of a mob’s attack a line is now drawn between you and the mob
Altered “The Fall of Northvale”: Risen Skeleton no longer spawns, instead their shadow form (Risen Soul) is spawned and deals 25 DPS but continues to have 1 HP. They no longer switch between forms.
New armour: Legendary Padding
New weapon: Legendary Sword

Misc

Map alterations (including new unopened castle area, changes to the Landing Point and Dark Forest connection and opening of the Skeleton King’s castle)
Risen Villagers now have sound effects (Northvale encounter)
