Working on some sprites for my LoveFest entry.

Based on a 24 x 24 grid, and animations have only 2 frames.
The style is kinda based on a GameBoy game called Mystic Quest (or Final Fantasy Adventure, apparently) that I played for possibly hundreds of hours when I was younger (awesome game!).
The main character's left/right walk cycle is in there, as I was using it for reference. I'm keeping the colours to just 5 (4 excluding white) for simplicity (this is the first time I'm doing any serious spriting).

Opinions?

I suck at spriting, but I think your sprites are quite nice ;)

Those look great! It's really dark, though, is that the intention?

yep, kind of. The player is in a sort of cave.
But this should not influence the gameplay, there will be also bright tilesets and a less darker vignette.
