Curious about APK size of games made in love

Not particularly free at the moment so I haven't had time to research on how export .love into an APK.

So if anyone has observed, what is the general APK size of games made in love?
or the size of an empty project and how assets contribute to the APK size?

armeabi = 2.04 MB
armeabi-v7a = 1.94 MB
x86 = 2.63 MB

I strongly recommend only to use armeabi and/or x86 (most ASUS devices). There are still so many cheap chinese phones (about 26-80 USD such as Mito, Advan, Huawei, Oppo, Evercoss, etc) running Android 4.0 that doesn't support ARMv7 and only has 256-512MB of RAM.

Is that for the general size of a love APK or an empty project?

been using the StartGameDev tool which outputs an APK from a .love file.

The tool has made it remarkably easy to get my .love project into android, but APK size is 4mb. While I'm still happy with the result, I'm wondering what's causing the APK size to be larger than the above projected APK size? Or was the estimate wrong?

The apks my server makes are 4mb as well.

You need to choose either "armeabi" or "armeabi-v7a". Each make 2MB, and both 4MB. It's redundant to include both.
