just a stupid question and sorry for getting distracted but i can't stop myself from asking - "are you a hacker or something?" (I judged that from the search engine you use.)

Not really. I couldn't really care much about the privacy arguments (although they're important). I mainly use DDG for the !bang commands.

There's a reason why, and it's spelled out for you:
Youtube:
Use only if you have a youtube.com/user/<name> link.
YouTube:
Use only if you have a youtube.com/channel/<name> link.
