Post by buhb11 »

Hello guys in the last 3 days i`ve done 3 games : Pong , Breakout,Space Invaders. And now i am looking for some tutus where i can learn how to make a ,,bigger,, game but the problems its... i cant find any!!
Do you have any sites , youtube channels , books , forums where i can learn more ? Because i dont want to be stuck in this point :( .I wanna be able to make an asteroid clone, roguelike game or a platformer game.
Thanks you in advance !

hello

can you upload your three .love games ? with that we can guess what kind of tuto/advice you need

there is a quick tutorials selection

gridlocked player
isometric draw (not tried) but this helped me a lot (in french, sorry, and for C but well illustrated)
platforming

take also a look at headchant.com and nova-fusion that i liked a lot

you have to zip your files (main.lua, conf.lua, ...) together and rename the .zip extension in .love

that's all !

(take care of not zipping the folder but the files inside instead)

take a look at the wiki

don't fear to show your work, we all began with little games and simple code ;)

ok now you can try to make a WHOLE basic game by yourself (and not to simply edit tutorials ;) )
try making something like the same game but with other logic or mechanisms. creativity is your best ally !

your file is a .rar, it will not work with love this way. zip your files and rename the extension to .love

try now !
