There is any way to add support of APNG (http://animatedpng.com/) to next version of Love?

Surprised noone has replied to this yet, especially the devs.

LOVE uses DevIL to load images, and it doesn't appear to support APNG. You'd have much better luck getting answers from the DevIL guys.

interesting. I've heard of mng, but not apng. It's great to see it's already supported into firefox!

I think that both rude and I thought that the other person would answer this inquiry. You're right, DevIL doesn't support it and it will probably never will. I had never heard of APNG until now

its a awnser to gif, saves its animations just like gif but does not suffer the 256 color limitations

i really dont see the advantage of it, its not widely supported eventho its been around for a while, and in a system like this you gain no real advantage, the file sizes are going to be the same since the same amount of data is stored, its just harder to work with in a paint program ...
