I wrote a library that enables C++ containers to be used in Lua interpreters, which means this is also works for Love2D (see tests folder in github repo).
You can see the library here: https://github.com/osa1/lcl
And here's a blog post about it: http://osa1.net/posts/2013-06-08-lcl-an ... cture.html
For some reason, I couldn't make it work with Love2D compiled with Lua 1.5.5, but it worked fine with LuaJIT 2.0.2. If you want to compile Love2D with LuaJIT, this may be helpful: http://osa1.net/posts/2013-06-08-compil ... uajit.html
This file shows some example uses: https://github.com/osa1/lcl/blob/master ... ynload.lua
Please tell me what do you think if you're interested. I wrote this mostly for learning purposes and it served the purpose well, and I'm not sure if I want to develop it further. (obviously there are lots of work do to, I mean I'm not sure whether it's useful for people or not)
