Hello,
I'm working to implement a IRC client library.
Maybe other people would like to have a way to chat in-game from player to player.
I think using IRC server is better than trying to implement my own chat protocol (and server).
I don't have something to release yet. I only have a basic lua irc client (running without love) coded from scratch.
But I just want to said that to the community, It's stupid to do the work twice.
Let me know if you are interested!
Best Regards,
IRC client lib

Re: IRC client lib
You're welcome to redo it if you want but see LUBE-IRC on this forum.
If I haven't written anything else, you may assume that my work is released under the LPC License - the LÖVE Community. See http://love2d.org/wiki/index.php?title=LPC_License.
Re: IRC client lib
Yes but LUBE-IRC is a good demonstration program
but the IRC support is very ligth/poor.
I need/want a full support (multi server, multi channel, easy to implement ircbot, ...).
So I will continue to work on my part

I will continue my IRC work after some other love projects.
But if someone need IRC support I can show my source more quickly.
