Visualization of position space vs. velocity space

Post by Xugro » Mon Aug 04, 2014 7:29 pm

Hi guys,

this is just a simple visualization of position space vs. velocity space. In the left side you see the balls jumping around as usual and in the right side you see their velocity.

  • up: add a ball
  • down: remove a ball
  • left: slow down
  • right: speed up
  • s: reset speed (to normal)
  • b: reset balls (to 10)
A nice to have would be automatic zooming in velocity space to see every ball. But this could be too confusing.

This is a neat idea. I've never really thought of velocity in this way, I tend to think of it as vectors attached to objects and pointing into the direction of their movement. This is a really nice (and obvious, when you think about it) way of presenting it...
