Physics thingy

Post by Robin »

A small physics thingy, with several different elements:
  • Small, light blocks
  • A cross, larger and heavier than the blocks, made from two shapes
  • A triangle, very heavy with a lot of rotational inertia as well
  • A slightly larger block, which has two times the volume, twelve times the weight and one half of the rotational inertia of the other blocks
  • A snake, six bodies joined with RevoluteJoints
Controls:
  • Left mouse button, drag and release: apply an impulse on a body. The further you drag and the shorter the time that passes before releasing, the higher the impulse.
  • Right mouse button, hold: apply torque on a body. The longer you hold, the more torque.
  • Space, hold: pause
  • Left shift, hold: slow motion
Have fun! :awesome:

May I suggest adding:
When I write def I mean function.

Definitely needs some walls and maybe some gravity.

New version time!

New key controls: left and right.

On the right, the following new objects appear:
  • 2 (two) walls, containing:
  • 3 (three) bouncy balls.
On the left, the following new object appears:
  • A launcher, which is not a static object. Try dropping something on it.
You have the following new power at your disposal:
  • Click. You can now move any non-static object directly with your mouse. Click again to release.
Have fun!

Are you sure this isn't an old version or something? I don't see any bouncy balls and I can't move anything directly.

No, it's the new version. As I said in the post: try left and right to see the new objects. To move objects directly, click on it.

Robin should be commended for putting lines on his balls. We can now easily see which way they rotate. :awesome:

Credits go to my brother, who wanted to see them rotate. :3
