A space shooter game inspired by galaga/space invaders and created with LOVE2D. Just wanted to share it with the LOVE community.
https://xaa3.itch.io/starseeker
Works best on 16:9 displays. The game is only 5 levels and if you're able to beat it I would love to hear what high score you finished with
Controls
Arrow Keys - Move ship left/right or menu up/down
Space Bar - Fire or Menu Select
Escape - Cancel
Also has XBOX controller support

Looking really good, well done!
To fix your Youtube link: Just put the "h47O7IS4pVE" into the bbcode.

This is a great game. I like the look of it, but it was pretty hard. I can't get past level 3 so far. I wish I could fire while in "blink mode" after dying. Otherwise all I can do is dodge, and hope the screen doesn't fill up with bullets too quickly. I also really wanted to be able to move the ship up/down. I found myself stuck on one side of the screen longer than I'd like, because I couldn't maneuver around bullets very well.
Overall though, this is really well done! The asteroid dodge is a nice touch.

Thanks for your input! It's nice to hear about someone playing the game other than me
The restriction to left/right movement is an intentional design decision, but I'll try to shorten the death/blinking length in the next version.
Level 3 is definitely hard. Try to deal with the wide grey 4 bullet enemies as soon as they come on screen.
