Indie Game Competition

Post by ^DJ_Link^ »

Hi there. Just to share that http://www.theindiebay.com/competition will be having a competition in which you can use whatever framework you want, so this includes Love.
It's a 48 hour competition in which you will be given a theme or topic to follow, the rest is up to you.

Hope to see you there.

Yes, I guess it's like ludemdare. The team part is a sensitive part. I don't want to take out the fairness but I would like to have designers and artists more involved also. Since we aren't "actually viewing" every entrant even in ludumdare they can be having help. Also sometimes artists have better ideas, and they would only need to get an programmer to execute it.
Well I dunno what's best, well see.

I, for one, am jumping onto this. I never really understood the Ludum Dare competition (and their website is confusing) but I want to take a stab at a competition.
Now posting IN STEREO (where available)

I'm glad to hear that! The main idea is to keep it simple and fun. We want to give a help to the indie community by allowing them to show cool prototypes. Who knows, sometimes great games are created on top of those prototypes.

Spread the word, the more the better.

During the competition itself there some claimed they were using Love, but on the final submissions I don't think any of them submitted their game. Mostly Xna and unity
