A font for everybody

Post by ZBoyer1000 »

I spent two days creating a pixelated font that looks good, so here it is.
Also, you can use this font without any strings attached. :|

That's not bad. I really like the digits.

Here are some ideas for the next revision, if you do one:

- The right side of the small "y" doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the characters, I'd expect it to look more like the right side of the small "g."

- The big and small "x" have four "pixels" all touching each other in the middle. This makes them look heavier than the other letters. The bottoms of the big and small "v" also look heavy.

- The small "k" seems to reach over a lot on the right side. The angle of those diagonal lines seems out of place to me. The diagonal lines on the big "K" also feel a little awkward.

- The left half of the big and small "w" seems pinched; they can be hard to read at small sizes.

Please don't take any of that as negative criticism, they're just ideas; you might like those characters better the way they are. It's pretty good overall, nice job :)

The lines for the center of some characters have been shifted left or right to avoid slanting a line. The heavy pixels you see are just my attempts to have a character that is not distorted. Anyways, I edited the main post to include a second version, which fixes most of what you are seeing.
