It seems to be an interesting game, however I was totally lost in the symbols and the game mechanism. The intro should be more self-explaining.

I created a farmer, a cotton farmer and a healer, but nothing seemed to be happening, e.g. no more people spawning.

I also wasn't able to convert anybody once I set their occupation.

This is way too cool :) You can also use it as a parallax scroll with a few changes, I guess.

exString.strip(str) This one's inspired by python. It strips all leading & trailing whitespace & punctuation from str and returns it. local str = " hello!" str:strip():print() > "hello" Good library. I have a comment on naming. Strip should be IMHO called trim. Also, add...
