Well, it's hard to help any further without having something we can look into by ourselves. The code in the OP definitely can't help diagnosing why your love.mousepressed event isn't working.

Are you sure you're monitoring the console window instead of the game window? If you're under Windows, are you using lovec.exe?

utf8 is a LÖVE built-in library. Other built-in libraries are socket and enet, and from LuaJIT, ffi and jit.

I think that the problem is that you're creating weld joints of interpenetrating bodies. It's not the first time I see such a system go crazy.

Try creating a single body with multiple shapes/fixtures instead.

user.x and user.y contain 400 and 450 respectively, and they don't seem to change. I think you want camera.x and camera.y.

Also, user.h is of no use here, because it's the apparent height in the z direction. If you want the sprite to appear to have a square base, use user.w twice.

I can't appreciate any difference between the left slope and the right slope.
