Re: How to generate clumps of minerals?

Woah, that's really cool though advanced. So I could just make the white parts minerals . I just ran it but haven't checked out the code, any way to scale it? You can make any rules for particles: * don't get back to spawn point: it makes long connected spaghetti * chance to skip the tile: the spag...

Re: How to generate clumps of minerals?

Create particle, add some mineral here. Create new particle and move both of them in random direction. Repeat until you want. What's a particle in your terminology? The thing that will be created, it moves and disappears, maybe generates other particles. It can move freeways as x,y=x+dt*vx,y+dt*vy ...

Re: Portrait rotation in android - correct way?

Because you cannot change the actual screen resolution on Android, the width and height is only used by LÖVE to determine the wanted aspect ratio and whether landscape or portrait mode fits the ratio better. Ohhh is that why love.graphics.getDimensions() still gives me landscape dimensions? That's ...

Re: These buttons execute the same callback but they are different tables!

Make it sense to store all functions of the object in the table?
So

Code: Select all

function new_object (x,y)
  local obj = {x=x,y=y}
  obj.functions = functions
end
So update is

Code: Select all

obj.functions:update (dt)

Re: Portrait rotation in android - correct way?

You can switch two parameters just as:

Code: Select all

t.window.height, t.window.width = t.window.width, t.window.height

Re: Fixing screen resolution ideas

Hmmm, I'll check out TLfres. So I should also scale ui? How would I make a camera work+tlfres/a scaling lib? @darkfrei, how does it work? It makes a virtual 1920x1080 screen and moves/scales this resolution to the current window. Also you can make any high-resolution canvases and render it too, so ...
