Re: LövelyToasts: Toast messages!

You can use the github that OP posted or you can use my fork which already lets you adjust the position with x/y values instead of default top/bottom/centre.

This is my fork, not the original code: https://github.com/togfoxy/Lovely-Toasts

Re: Physics broken before the first world:update

You have an interesting way of invoking love.draw and love.update.

Most ppl just do

Function love.draw()
...
End

Function love.update(dt)
...
End

I'm not saying you're doing it wrong - just different, and I don't know enough to say that is causing your physics update problem.

Re: Notepad++ auto completion?

I forget how but I found a way for NP++ to detect .lua files and that offered auto complete. I spent a long time using NP++ and swore it was awesome and then I tried ATOM and haven't looked back. It's the closest thing to notepad while being better than notepad. Trust me - I've been where you are now.

Re: How to call web services/API?

So it seems all currency exchange API's use https. Is that not gunna work with Love2D? Are there https libraries I should google for? Should I mess about with this: https://github.com/love2d/lua-https Or this: https://github.com/daurnimator/lua-http (supports https 1.2) I'll keep googling for a http...

How to call web services/API?

I'd like to call an API that is "out there" so I can display live data on my Love2D screen. Think of a stock ticker or live hockey score updates. Here is an example: https://rapidapi.com/asepscareer/api/yahoo-finance97 How would I invoke something like that in Love/LUA? Is POST within the ...

Re: LövelyToasts: Toast messages!

One year and one 1 week later, I'm still using LovelyToasts. For others using this library, default behaviour is to display a toast at the top, middle or bottom of the screen. I've forked the github and added a way to display a lovelyloast at any provided x/y value. This lets me display toasts anywh...

The first one. I assume lua would be the wrong tool.

Love2d/lua screen scanning and detecting images?

I've always wondered if there are libraries or anyone has tried to use lua to detect images on the screen and then react to those images. I'm not talking about classification problems in neural networks or AI - I mean just dumb image detection "is there a monster that looks exactly like this mo...

I assume you're using a physics library of some sort?
