Re: Scroller

Why do you think it looks bad? I think it's quite good =) I thought the level looked like a cutout, but if people think it's good, I won't do anything about it. I think it's fine to have that kind of style for a puzzle game like this - but it probably comes down to what direction you want to take t...

Re: [Game] Flyer Alpha 1.00

so this is basically a 2D top-down Descent? :awesome: I thought I recognised all of those sound effects from somewhere ;) This looks like it could be promising. If I may make a couple of suggestions: Ramming fast into the wall should cause a loss of some shield :-) Right now it seems totally safe to...

Re: Spaceship building

Something peculiar seems to be happening with the z-order: once you've placed a piece, if you pick it up again and move it around, it sometimes moves 'in front' of other pieces, and sometimes moves 'behind' them. I haven't looked at your .lua code but you can probably get around this by making sure ...

Re: [Beta] Wake up call

mz1 - Great! Yes, the ladder scene seems much more performant now! some things still don't seem right to me (although I don't have a comparison reference point, so apologies if this is intentional): Of course, I think no small part of that disorientation is intentional - but wanted to report in case...

Re: EARWORMZ (experimentalgameplayproject entry)

Also - is anyone experiencing a problem where the backdrop doesn't appear (should show a picture of an ear - let me know if the game has a plain black backdrop for you)

Re: EARWORMZ (experimentalgameplayproject entry)

I'm interesting in finding out more about whether folks find this interesting or entertaining. I'm also interesting in what kind of scores people are getting. Did anyone beat a score of 45000 yet? The key to high scores is maximising your combos...

Re: [Beta] Wake up call

This is great - I especially liked the part early on where you get the photos to resolve in clarity - I imagine that 'cubist' effect was offline and the game is really just interpolating between the images but the effect is impressive nonetheless. With the ladder - on my netbook I was getting only a...

Re: TeroTron

Rather than having two separate versions, you can test at runtime whether shaders are supported and enable/disable accordingly. But looks/runs great - thanks! Thanks for the credit on the plasma - what are your plans for that (just flat texture, or are you thinking of using it as a heightmap?). For ...

Re: T.A.O.T.R.T.W.G.E.

Similar terrain generator (if not identical) to the plasma thing I posted about earlier in this thread I think! :awesome:
