Use Anim8 by Kikito. It's really easy to use and understand.

Re: Is it possible to print to the terminal/console in custom colors?

Awesome. That works perfectly. Will be really useful. Thanks!

Is there a way to set the background color of the text too? The method on the Wiki doesn't seem to work. Well it works, but only for the black text on white background. Is there a limit because playing around doesn't seem to work.

Is it possible to print to the terminal/console in custom colors?

As said, when I run my project from the terminal it would be useful if I could print out my debug information in different colors. Is it possible for Löve to do this? Maybe using some codes in the string being printed? It would be so useful for debugging and separating relevant info when you're prin...

Re: Futuristic Topdown Racer Feedback

Is it actually top-down in the same vein as straight down camera racers like Death Rally/Micro Machines? Or is it faux-3d like F-Zero? Because F-Zero/Super Mario Kart aren't top-down. Death Rally and Micro Machines are. *Death Rally was a game by the makers of Duke Nukem 3D in the '90s. It was reall...

Re: [solved]how to use "i" properly with nested for loops

"i" has always just been an example. You can use anything you want. "a", "b", "n", "bullet", "foo", "chopsuey". We just use "i" because it's been used so long. I'm sure there's an origin story.

Re: How exactly should I learn

I disagree. I feel Lua is pretty easy to learn. At least as easy as BASIC IMHO. I came to Löve after trying to code my original project in JavaScript and it was a horrible pain. I was originally programming it in QuickBASIC in DOSBox for a while (Out of fun and because it was what I knew) and hit a ...

Re: LÖVE 11.0 released!

I put in a fix that I believe should resolve the canvas issue: https://bitbucket.org/rude/love/commits/46da35e2cc99489bc6272564615678381b0767f3 There's a prebuilt Windows binary with the fix here, if people can confirm that the fix works that'd be great: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/AlexSzpakows...

Re: LÖVE 11.0 released!

after updating my game to 11.0, it seems to sometimes not create canvases. it doesn't produce an error, just sometimes the canvases are all black and drawing to them does nothing. Can confirm. Apparently it has something to do with the canvases getting garbage collected and re-created from the same...

Re: LÖVE 11.0 released!

Looks like I have a lot of work to do. Some shaders of mine are giving complaints probably because of the switch from 255-based colors to 1.0-based colors.

Re: Issue with Flipping Sprite

Yeah like Ivan said, just offset the x-offset to half the sprite width and adjust the draw x-offset to the same amount so it draws within the same box. love.graphics.draw(self.image, self.x + (self.image:getWidth() / 2) , self.y, 0, self.direction, 1 , (self.image:getWidth() / 2), 0 ) You can cache ...
