Defining the local elapsedTime inside love.update itself is asking for the variable to be reset every frame; move that out of the function. Also, to be more clear, whatever image or even sprite sheet one specific animation might use doesn't necessitate them to have separate x and y positions; logica...

The lack of a click may only mean that the static version (which is guaranteed to always just store all samplepoints with a given sampling rate) can loop more seamlessly than ogg or mp3 files could, since at least the latter stores data not exactly in that way, so it might not be able to accomplish ...

As I said, LÖVE is designed to encourage cross-platform compatibility, so these things are out of the scope of what it is designed to do. Still, you can do what you want, but it's not easy. You need to mount the folder using PhysFS via FFI. I believe zorg is working on a library to make that easier...

You can try to see if that narrows it down to a decoder issue, or something else; you are looping it with just setting the loop properity on the source object, right? Or are you doing more advanced shenanigans? :3

You need to set t.identity to a singular string, which will be the relative path starting from löve's basic save directory; it won't take absolute paths.

Is it only ogg files that do that to you? Do check whether its bitrate is larger than 320 kbps (ogg can go up to 450 iirc; not sure if thats an issue though)

That's two separate things you're either confusing or talking about. You can have many separate tile images, load them into löve, and draw them at specific spots, or you can have one combined atlas of the tiles, load that into löve, define Quad s and use a SpriteBatch to draw tiles from that one atl...
