Re: Need helping using microphone

The code runs, but there are audible clicks (increasing in frequency over time). After running for 10-15 seconds the script crashes on my machine. Any tips would be appreciated as there aren't many tutorials on queued sources. I'd start with it shouldn't crash, but apparently it does for you anyway...

Re: how to change cam perspective (fov && angle)?

Löve is a framework; what you accomplish with it is your business; it uses OpenGL, which is able to handle both 2D, 3D, or any Dimensions you want it to, be it 2.5 or 4. But yeah, the bigger issue is that for perspective projections (textures rendered correctly when "slanted"), you do need to use a ...

Re: CRT effect and shaders:

the crt effect is basically all that code, and the part that makes the red and blue channels be offset (not simply just "to the left/right" but radially outward and inward from the given coordinates, are these parts: vec2 tcr = radialDistortion(tc, .24) + vec2(.001, 0); vec2 tcg = radialDistortion(t...

Re: Need help with aspect ratio and resolution

The world coordinates for 0,0 should still be 0,0; regardless of the camera's aperture dimensions. Just adjust how much of the world you're showing. And use a camera lib if you're not yet.

Re: how to attach a shader to a sprite?

You set the shader you want to use, then draw the sprite you want to use the shader on.

can be relevant, although it's probably for an older version; still some of the techniques may still apply.

Re: Need help with aspect ratio and resolution

Do people not know how to use the search function? :3 I know, it's not the best... Here you go: https://love2d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=85638&p=222698#p222698 But for an extended answer, you have two options, if you want to keep your game pixel-perfect; 1. Choose one aspect ratio and use that ...

Re: Rotate quads

Also, the love.graphics.draw function, that you use to draw basically everything, has parameters you can use for transformations; position (translation), orientation (rotation), scale, rotation offset (origin offset) and shearing factors. From love.graphics.draw : The origin is by default located at...

Re: How to call a function from one script to main.lua

To be a bit contrary to grump, let me give a different answer; You can absolutely have love.graphics.draw and other stuff in functions other than love.draw; but grump is right in that you ultimately want to call your item1 function from love.load. Now, to actually answer your question, you want to p...
